This photograph was taken from a high vantage point overlooking the canal. The textures you see in the image are actual closeups of the grainy surface of some of the buildings. This blending of two images is a technique that I use to simulate the style of the old masters.
The Grand Canal is lined with churches, mansions, and buildings dating back to the 13th to 18th centuries. The best way to explore Venice’s Renaissance, Gothic and Romanesque style architecture is by a gondola ride or a water bus (Vaporetto).

Custom Built Frame
These contemporary art photographs are mounted on solid faced wood frames. The frame has been sealed and protected before the canvas is stretched and gallery wrapped around it. After the canvas is stretched one final coat is sprayed on to seal and protect it. This type of frame gives a solid protective back for your canvas fine art print. I find these solid centered frames much more durable than the soft centered canvas wrap that we most often see. These canvas wrapped prints are ready to hang on your wall.
